Who We Are
Our team of experienced leaders in solar.
Leon Keshishian
Founder, CEO
Lee Keshishian founded Civic Renewables to accelerate solar adoption by empowering local solar businesses through a national network. For nearly two decades, Lee has been at the forefront of residential solar, working with industry leaders, including Tesla Energy, SolarCity, and Palmetto.
He co-founded Clean Currents Solar in the Washington, D.C. area in 2007, installing solar systems for residential, commercial, and governmental clients. The company was acquired by SolarCity, where Lee led the East Coast operations, growing from one to 40 locations and over 4,000 employees. After transitioning through SolarCity’s acquisition by Tesla Energy, Lee continued to oversee Eastern U.S. operations. Lee went on to found an operations and maintenance services company, which was acquired by Palmetto. As Palmetto’s COO, he helped the company become a top 10 solar installer by partnering with over 50 local solar companies.
Lee’s career in solar and construction inspired him to launch Civic Renewables with a team of other industry veterans and establish a new business model for residential solar.
